Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy Celebrates Global Connections as a Round Square School

Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy (FSHA) proudly continues its commitment to global education as an official Round Square school. Through its partnership with Round Square, the Academy integrates character education, leadership, service, experiential learning, democracy, and internationalism into every aspect of student life, preparing young women to lead with courage, compassion, and curiosity in an interconnected world.

Round Square is a worldwide network of more than 250 schools across five continents that share a commitment to experiential learning and character development. Guided by the IDEALS—Internationalism, Democracy, Environmentalism, Adventure, Leadership, and Service—Round Square schools foster global competence, cross-cultural understanding, and meaningful student exchange opportunities. Through conferences, service projects, and exchange programs, students are encouraged to step beyond their comfort zones and engage with diverse perspectives. More information about Round Square can be found at https://www.roundsquare.org.

This semester, Flintridge Sacred Heart has already brought internationalism to life by welcoming two exchange students for immersive cultural experiences. Emilia from Germany was hosted by Isabelle ’26, while Raquel from Colombia is being hosted by Dia ’27. These exchanges provide students with the opportunity to build lasting friendships, deepen cultural understanding, and experience daily life through a global lens.

The Academy celebrates its students for opening their hearts and homes, forming meaningful connections, embracing new perspectives, and cultivating friendships that will last a lifetime—living out the Round Square IDEALS in real and transformative ways.
