High Point Class of 2020 Matriculation

A Letter to the Community

2020 marked another banner year for 8th grade High Point graduates in terms of high school admissions/acceptances. I know you will join me in congratulating our Graduating Class of 2020. I wish to begin by expressing my appreciation and gratitude to High Point’s dedicated and talented faculty and staff for preparing our soon-to-be graduates with the foundation for success as they embark upon the next chapter in their educational journey, to our junior high faculty for preparing letters of recommendation, and to Colleen Zeiss, our 8th Grade Dean and Junior High English teacher who successfully oversees the entire high school admissions process.

Our 28 graduates will be attending a total of 12 different high schools. High Point students earned a 100% acceptance rate at the following high schools: La Salle, Maranatha, St. Francis, Flintridge Sacred Heart, LILA (International School of Los Angeles), Loyola, Mayfield, and Alverno. Notably, six of our graduates were admitted to Flintridge Prep.

Remarkably, our 2020 graduating class earned 9 merit-based scholarships with a combined value of nearly $400,000 over the course of students’ high school careers. These scholarships are based on academic prowess and performance.

Notably, these results clearly demonstrate that the journey at High Point is the perfect foundation to help our graduates excel in high school.

High Point is indeed a special place dedicated to its mission to awaken the joy of learning and to provide academic excellence that prepares students with an exceptionally strong foundation for success in high school, college, and life beyond.
