Immaculate Heart Students Nominated for Scenic Design at 2025 Jerry Herman Awards



Immaculate Heart Middle & High School is proud to announce that its student design team has been nominated for Best Scenic Design at the 2025 Jerry Herman Awards for their work on the High School’s production of Little Shop of Horrors. This prestigious honor recognizes the exceptional creativity and execution of the all-student team.

Senior Mary Mullin and and Junior Maggie Stepanek served as head scenic designers, leading a team that included Alice O’Riordan, Mia Fernald, and Clara Paaswell. Puppet design was led by juniors Byrdie Chapman and Ume Judge-Glascock, whose contributions brought the show’s iconic characters to life.

“We are thrilled to see our students recognized on such a significant stage,” said Laurie Peebler, Director of Marketing and Communications. “Their talent and dedication exemplify the excellence of arts education at Immaculate Heart.”
