La Salle’s Decathlon Team Showcases Skills and Teamwork at Woodland Hills

This past weekend, La Salle College Prep’s Lancer Decathlon team showcased their skills and teamwork in Woodland Hills at the Super Quiz and Award Ceremony. The primary team, La Salle #2, clinched Division II and secured a remarkable third place against stiff competition, marking its first-ever overall bronze!

Special shoutout to standout medalists: Hanwen Yu ’26 won seven medals, Jason Lu ’26 earned five, and John Burgess ’24 capped off his Decathlon career with five medals, including a coveted gold.

In the challenging Division I, La Salle brought home a team bronze thanks to the exceptional performances of Kevin Teng ’26, securing eight medals, and Tati Quijano ’26, who impressed with seven medals. Jeremy Sung ’25 also made his mark in the honors section, winning four medals. Teams #2 and #3 emerged victorious in the Super Quiz, showcasing their unparalleled talent and teamwork. Team #3 notably outperformed the competition for a stunning victory.

As La Salle celebrate these victories, the school is also gearing up for the World Scholars Cup in Pasadena. Here’s to the Lancer Scholars, who continue to inspire and lead excellently. Your hard work pays off in so many ways!
