Learning Armenian Through Everyday Discovery

Learning a word is one thing. Knowing when to use it is another. In Or. Peggy’s class, students name a color in Armenian, then search the classroom for something that matches. The word becomes connected to an object they can find, touch, and show their classmates.

It’s a small example of how Armenian can become part of children’s everyday experiences, with opportunities to use the language as they play and explore. By connecting new vocabulary to familiar objects and hands-on activities, students can build their language skills in a fun and meaningful way.
