Maranatha High School Girls’ Soccer Advances to 2nd Round of CIF

The Maranatha Girls’ Soccer Team has had a great run so far in the 2022 CIF-SS playoffs.

After finishing in 3rd place in the Olympic League standings, the Lady Minutemen were on the road for back-to-back games against Arroyo HS (El Monte, CA) in a wild card matchup, and a road game against Ramona Convent (Alhambra, CA). The Lady Minutemen pulled out all the stops to come home victorious in their playoff games thus far.

At Arroyo High School, they defeated the Knights 3-1 in their first game, then pulled out a last minute 3-2 victory against Ramona Convent, avenging their loss to them earlier in the season. Looking forward, Maranatha takes on the Riverside Prep Silver Knights (Oro Grande, CA) in a round 2 CIF-SS Division 6 playoff match this Wednesday, Feb. 16, at 5:00 pm in Oro Grande (19900 National Trails Hwy, Oro Grande, CA 92368).

Maranatha encourage the local community to come out and support its Girls’ Soccer Team as they look to advance in the CIF playoffs!
