Maranatha Juniors Launch Healing Hoops Altadena to Support Eaton Fire Survivors

Three Maranatha juniors are putting their faith into action by creating Healing Hoops Altadena, a free basketball and wellness camp designed for children impacted by the Eaton Fire. Inspired by their own experiences, the students envisioned a safe and encouraging space where younger children could heal, build confidence, and simply enjoy being kids again through basketball, art, and meaningful community connections. In a recently released video, Ryden ’28, Ethan ’28, and Ryder ’28 share what they have learned throughout the journey and reflect on how God has used the experience to strengthen their faith and personal growth.

Their inspiring initiative is making a lasting difference in the lives of young fire survivors while demonstrating the power of compassion, service, and community.
