Marshall Celebrates Rock the Street Wall Street Financial Literacy Club

Marshall celebrated the Rock the Street Wall Street (RTSWS) – Financial Literacy Club selected to the RTSWS Fall Honor Roll for achieving the Most Consistent Attendance averaging 42 attendees per meeting.

Rock The Street, Wall Street is a financial and investment literacy program designed to bring both gender and racial equity to the financial markets and spark the interest of high school girls into careers in finance. https://rockthestreetwallstreet.com/home/.

During the Fall Semester, the Marshall Fundamental RTSWS Team had five morning meetings led by several mentors from local Financial Institutions including First Citizens Bank and Western Asset who worked with our high school female students on building their financial literacy IQ. Students built their financial and stock market knowledge and worked with their fictional client, “Janella” on making sound financial decisions.

The first semester culminated with a Field Trip to First Citizens Bank that included student presentations, lunch, and a panel discussion. Congratulations to the Marshall Fundamental, Financial Literacy Club Student CEO, Eubee (Grace) Ahn, and the RTSWS Cabinet Members Corazon Adomou, Alexis Benitez, and Lola Gomez for their leadership. Thanks to Ms. Irada Melkumyan and Ms. Felita Kealing, RTSW Champions, and Club Advisors for their support and coordination.
