Mayfield Junior School Seventh Graders Explore Glass Art

Judson Studios welcomed Mayfield Junior School seventh graders today for the final step in a fused glass project surrounding the Gospel Evangelists. Line drawings of each student’s original art were transformed into crafted squares of colorful glass ready to be fused.

The students were guided through a three step process from tracing the image with paint, stacking colored pieces of glass to follow and enhance the line, and finally covering it with a top layer of frit, a fine porous glass. Once the pieces are fired the transformation will be complete. Many thanks to all at Judson Studios for such an amazing experience. We look forward to seeing the finished art!
