Pasadena High School Model A Ford Club (PHSMAFC) Car Raffle, 2019
The Pasadena High School Model A Ford Club (PHSMAFC) is restoring a 1929 Model A Roadster to be given to one lucky family on April 20, 2019. That’s right! One grand prize winner will own a beautiful roadster restored by the only high school model a club in the nation.
Pasadena High School club members begin as early as the ninth grade, potentially enjoying four years of hands-on membership. Students, who early on could not identify a screwdriver or a wrench, now eagerly operate power tools. They understand the elements of the Model A engine, its interior, while preparing the car’s body in preparation for paint. Participation is equally strong among both boys and girls, however PHSMAFC’s president and vice president just happen to be female. Any interested student is welcome to join the Model A Ford Club. The on campus advisors are Todd Dirks email@example.com and Neil Esser firstname.lastname@example.org. Wilbert Smith PhD, a member of the local Santa Anita A’s, is PHSMAFC’s off campus advisor. PHSMAFC is very grateful for all of their support.
PHSMAFC need your help! The club receives no funding from the Pasadena Unified School District, or any assistance from MAFCA. PHSMAFC operate independently just as any other MAFCA chapter. It relies deeply on friends and contributors to support the annual raffle and car giveaway. This is PHSMAFC’s only source of income.
Each contributor will receive one raffle entry per one hundred dollars ($100.00) contributed. The odds of winning are quite favorable, as raffle entries are limited to 750. Additional cash prizes will also be awarded. Last year many of PHS’ friends purchased multiple tickets, and for that PHSMAFC is grateful.
Please forward your tax-deductible contribution to: PHSMAFC, 1968 Lake Ave, Suite 101, Altadena Ca. 91001, email@example.com. Kindly include a stamped, self-addressed envelope along with your phone number and email address. Please print clearly. PHSMAFC also welcome Model A vehicle donations worthy of reasonable restoration.
The winning ticket will be drawn at the “oldies” concert scheduled to occur on Saturday, April 20, 2019, featuring the “Platters.” Ticket information for the concert will be included with your return raffle entry. Talent for the Las Vegas quality show will be donated by… “some of the best performers of our time.” Raffle winner need not be present.
