PHS’ Enrique Perez Receives Oboe Foundation’s Inaugural David B. Miller Leadership Award

The Oboe Foundation created a new scholarship at Pasadena High School.

The David B. Miller Leadership Award was established this year to honor the 26 years of leadership skills that Mr. Miller taught while he was the director of instrumental music at PHS. This Award has a $500 scholarship for the recipient and will be a part of Pasadena High School (PHS) annual awards moving forward.

The recipient of the inaugural award is Enrique Perez. Enrique’s Mom and sister were at the event to celebrate with him. The music department at PHS delivered the name to The OBOE Foundation and we were excited with Enrique’s contribution to the music program and are pleased to present this scholarship to Enrique. Mr. Miller was the honored guest to present the award to Enrique.

The OBOE Foundation is appreciative for the support from those who are able to donate and keep changing students’ lives, one note at a time.
