PUSD Honors High School Interns for Summer Achievements
Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD) proudly recognized its high school students who successfully completed internships this past summer. A formal ceremony was held to celebrate their hard work and growth.
These students engaged in 60 hours of work-based learning across a variety of fields including medical offices, local arts and culture organizations, coding, and more. Through partnerships with community organizations and employers, PUSD offers these enriching opportunities to students between their junior and senior years—opportunities that extend learning beyond the classroom and develop lifelong skills.
The Summer Internship Program, part of PUSD’s College & Career Academies initiative, is designed to give students real-world, hands-on work experiences where they apply classroom knowledge to workplace settings. Interns receive mentorship, tackle meaningful projects, and strengthen essential skills such as communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving while exploring potential career paths.
