On May 21, the elegant halls of The Huntington Library in San Marino, were filled with creativity and pride as San Marino High School students presented their outstanding humanities art and literature projects during the annual SMHS Humanities Showcase.

Among the attendees were Mrs. Davidson, Ms. Pauline, and C. Joseph Chang, who were seen admiring the students’ innovative and thought-provoking work. The event celebrated the power of student voice, artistic expression, and academic excellence across the humanities.

A standout moment featured SMHS senior Benjamin Miller, who showcased multiple pieces. He stood proudly beside a stunning costume he designed and created, impressing visitors with his craftsmanship and vision. Benjamin also unveiled a powerful portrait of Dr. Linda de la Torre, who was present and graciously stood beside the artwork created in her honor.

The event not only highlighted the talents of SMHS students but also reinforced the school’s commitment to fostering creativity, critical thinking, and cultural exploration in the humanities.
