Sequoyah School Welcomes Aztec Dancers for Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month

Sequoyah School recently welcomed XINANTECATL, a group of Aztec dancers, for a special presentation featuring traditional music, dance, and cultural practices as part of the school’s Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month celebrations. The month provides an opportunity to recognize Spanish-speaking countries and the diverse communities and cultures that make each unique.

The performance was particularly meaningful for the Treehouse and Egret’s Perch classes, whose students are currently studying Aztec civilization in their Spanish and art classes. The visit offered students an opportunity to connect their classroom learning with a live cultural presentation.

Sequoyah School expressed its gratitude to XINANTECATL for sharing its time, music, and traditions with the students.
