South Pasadena High School Sophomore Wins First Place in Altadena Heritage’s Art Contest



SPUSD congratulates SPHS 10th grader, Sarah Suzuki, who won first place in the high school division of Altadena Heritage’s “Our Favorite Mountain Views” Art Contest, receiving a $150 prize. Sarah’s artwork was in an exhibit of the winners at the Mountain View Mausoleum on Sunday, September 17, 2023.

SPHS Art Teacher Aimee Levie-Hultman offered all students in her art classes the opportunity to participate in the community through art. Sarah is an AP Art student and will earn an Art & Community credit for participating. She will include a written reflection in her final exam on her experience participating in this community art event and on the artwork submitted.
