South Pasadena High School Symphonic Band & Orchestra Earn Accolades



On March 15, 2019, the South Pasadena High School (SPHS) symphonic band and orchestra attended the Southern California Schools Band and Orchestra Association (SCSBOA) District Festival where they were adjudicated on their musical performance and music sight-reading. The symphonic band received an “Excellent” rating for music performance and a higher “Superior” rating for sight-reading. The orchestra received a “Superior” rating for music performance and a “Superior” rating for sight-reading. The orchestra now qualifies to move on to the regional festival for the “Superior” rated ensembles. This weekend the band will perform in a national festival in San Francisco, Calif.
