St. Rita School Celebrate Grandparents Day

Yesterday St. Rita School (SRS) celebrated the bond between grandparents and grandchildren on Grandparents Day!

The morning began with mass. St. Rita School staff and students celebrated together beginning with the vibrant voices of the children’s choir lead by Mr. Augustynski! The 8th graders lead the Communion Meditation and the mass concluded with a Blessing of the Grandparents from Fr. Tom, followed by a performance from the TK class, lead by Mr. & Mrs. Lopez and TK aide, Miss Patino.

St. Rita School thanks its wonderful parents who organized special individually boxed pastries, coffee, and a special pin that says: “I’m a Proud St. Rita Grandparent” along with a beautiful magnetic bookmark. Grandparents and Grandchildren took a stroll into Gara Hall to have a photo taken together.

SRS thanks Mr. Castro for creating these special pins and Adams Photography for capturing beautiful memories. Most of all, SRS thanks all of the grandparents for their love, their wisdom and for shaping the future for your grandchildren.
