St. Rita School Celebrates Read Across America with Buddy Reading Time

Yesterday, St. Rita School celebrated Read Across America with its buddies during “Buddy Reading Time”! “We love spending time with our buddies and we love reading with our buddies even more!”

To quote the reading pledge the students all took on Monday “I promise to read, each day and each night, I know it’s the key, to growing up right. I’ll read to myself, I’ll read to a crowd, it makes no difference, if silent or loud. I’ll read at my desk, at home and at school, on my bean bag or bed, by the fireplace or pool, each book that I read, puts smarts in my head, because brains grow, more than thoughts, the more they are fed. So I take this oath, to make reading my way, I’m feeding my brain, what it needs everyday day.”

Saint Rita School, 322 North Baldwin Avenue, Sierra Madre, (626) 355-6114 or visit st-ritaschool.org.
