Stratford School Altadena Ends the Year on a High Note with Summer Camp Kicking Off this Week and a Summer Open House Planned for July 11!

Stratford School Altadena celebrated the conclusion of a tremendous school year with a full schedule of exciting events and activities. Preschool and elementary students wrapped up the year with their Spring performances, showcasing singing and dancing from each class that had rehearsed for several months under the direction of their music teachers. Stratford parents honored teachers and staff during Teacher Appreciation Week by providing themed meals, gifts, and sweet messages for teachers each day. Clubs and sports concluded their seasons, and a sense of accomplishment and joy was felt throughout the month of May.

During the last week of school, students enjoyed leaving their uniforms behind for spirit week dress-up, and the entire school community came together for family fun day, with a parent-versus-student soccer game, food, activities, and more. A commencement ceremony capped off the year, honoring the second class of 8th grade graduates. 

With the completion of the school year, Stratford Altadena will now welcome campers for their Summer@Stratford season, which started this week and runs through August 7. Roar and Explore Day camps for Preschool through 5th Grade are available on a week-to-week basis and open to the community. Camp experiences run the gamut from STEAM activities to arts and crafts to games and sports. For those families looking to support summer learning, academic camps for Kindergarten Prep and an academic bridge camp for grades 1-5 are also available. Elementary academic campers get the best of both worlds: the first half of their day is focused on learning, and the second half is spent participating in fun activities with the day campers.
