Sustainability One Metro Stop at a Time

This month, 11 Learning Works Charter School and LW@Homeboy students and graduates participated in a high-level thought exercise pondering ways to make the 12,000+ Metro Bus stops across Los Angeles more useful. The three-day intensive Camp Pando, sponsored by Pando, explored ways to take advantage of the Metro stops to communicate ways riders can save and recapture water. Students and staff broke into groups and went on the road, visiting locations and interviewing riders in Chinatown, Hollywood, etc. looking for inspiration. The group’s ideas were presented at an award ceremony for Pando at CalTech. Please click here for more information about Pando.
