Two Marshall Senior Students Selected for Prestigious Posse Scholarship

Marshall Fundamental School congratulates Estrella Barcenas and Owen Hom, Marshall Fundamental Class of 2023 seniors and both have been awarded the Prestigious Posse Scholarship.

Estrella has been awarded a Posse Scholarship to attend Kalamazoo College as a Hornet with plans to major in Psychology and Owen has received a Posse Scholarship to attend the University of Wisconsin Madison as a Bucky Badger with plans to major in Data Science. Each scholarship will cover their full tuition for four years.

On Thursday, January 5th the Los Angeles Posse Foundation held an in-person Induction Ceremony at the Los Angeles Regal Theater where the Posse Leadership Scholarships were awarded. Estrella and Owen are two of nearly ninety students in the Los Angeles area granted the award from the pool of 2200 Los Angeles Posse Scholar Nominees.

They were both surrounded and supported by family and friends, as well as several Marshall Fundamental Posse Scholar Alumni. They have now joined the Marshall Fundamental Legacy of Posse Scholars.
