VADA Celebrates PUSD Interns at Brookside Park

Visual Arts and Design Academy (VADA) spent Sunday morning at Brookside Park celebrating PUSD interns. Attendees heard from encouraging speakers including The League of Women Voters, VADA’s amazing business partners, PUSD Superintendent, and Senator Anthony Portantino who gave a speacial shout out to VADA’s very own Interns Jazzmyn Viray and Celeste Edell! Jazz and Celeste spoke brilliantly on behalf of the mural project they were a part of last summer working side by side with Ms Gorecki. The themes heard over and over during the event were social justice, human and civil rights, and the environment. VADA have said this a number of times but it is worth repeating… “The future is in good hands!” VADA congratulates all of its interns across the district! And specially extends its appreciation to its internship coordinators Light Bringer Project!

The Visual Arts and Design Academy (VADA) in Creative Arts Media and Design (CAMAD) at Pasadena High School is a studio arts focused program within PUSD. Students explore traditional and digital media cross curricular integrated projects and daily studio practice.
