VADA Juniors Begin Life Drawing Basics

Visual Arts and Design Academy (VADA) juniors beginning life drawing basics this week. Students learn to simplify the complex nature of drawing the human form by getting familiar with basic anatomy to better understand the figure. Students will be able to focus on how to initiate a figure drawing through basic structuring. Repetition and practice are key elements in expressing themselves with confidence. Through a variety of short projects, students are encouraged to be spontaneous and incorporate expressive mark-makings into their own illustrations.

The Visual Arts and Design Academy (VADA) in Creative Arts Media and Design (CAMAD) at Pasadena High School is a studio arts focused program within PUSD. Students explore traditional and digital media cross curricular integrated projects and daily studio practice.
