Waverly Students and Community Volunteers Celebrate a Meaningful Sages & Seekers Finale

The Waverly School concluded its final Sages & Seekers gathering this week, marking the end of a meaningful six-week program designed to foster intergenerational connection, storytelling, and shared learning. Throughout the program, Waverly students – serving as “seekers” were paired with adult volunteers, or “sages,” forming powerful bonds that encouraged reflection, empathy, and mutual understanding. Students expressed the impact of these relationships through thoughtful end-of-program essays, highlighting the wisdom and insight they gained from their sages. The school is proud to open its campus to the wider community and to offer its students opportunities to forge authentic, lasting connections. A heartfelt thank-you goes to coordinator Beatriz Valls Rodriguez for her dedication and leadership in bringing this program to life.
