25th Annual Day at the Races hosted by Villa Esperanza Guild Benefits Those With Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities

Villa Esperanza Guild will hold their 25th annual Day of Thoroughbred Racing, benefiting Villa Esperanza Services, on Saturday, February 25.  Over 100 guests are expected to join together at the Santa Anita Racetrack in the beautiful Chandelier Room and enjoy lunch, a silent auction, and raffle and prize drawings in addition to a fantastic day of racing. This event supports Villa’s Hjelte-Phillips Speech and Language Center and the Residential and Independent Living Services programs, two of Villa’s nine programs that assist individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities gain greater independence.

Sponsorships for the event are available as well as tickets. Event tickets are $150 each and include a buffet lunch in the exclusive Chandelier Room, valet parking, admission to the racetrack, and an official program. “I look forward to this event each year,” shares Villa Esperanza Services CEO, Kelly White. “We are grateful to the Guild for all of their hard work and dedication in coordinating it, and encourage everyone to come out for the day.”  You may purchase tickets online at GuildRaceDay.VillaES.org or call 626-449-2919, ext.162.

Chairing this year’s event are Irene Albeck and Judie Christopoulos.  The Benefit Committee includes Guild President Joan Feser of Pasadena and Connie Ching of Arcadia.  The Villa Esperanza Guild was formed in 1968 to increase awareness of the needs of individuals with special needs.

Villa Esperanza Services, established in 1961, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children, adults and seniors with intellectual/developmental disabilities achieve their goals live fulfilling lives. Villa offers nine programs including the Villa Esperanza School for children up to 22 years of age; a Speech and Language Center and Occupational Therapy Clinic providing children, adults, and seniors with comprehensive therapies; employment services; day programs for adults; independent living services; and adult residences in Pasadena.
