‘45 Years of Terror’ Set to Sweep Into Pasadena Convention Center

Published on Sep 13, 2023

Fans of the classic horror 1978 film “Halloween” and its sequels will have a chance to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the franchise at the Pasadena Convention Center from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1.

The event, called “Halloween: 45 Years of Terror,” or H45, will feature celebrity guests, vendors, panels, props, exclusive merchandise, and other surprises.

H45 is presented by Trancas International Films, Convention All Stars LLC, HorrorHound Ltd., and Compass International Pictures, the producers and promoters of the popular Halloween series. The convention will honor the legacy of John Carpenter’s original slasher film, which was partly filmed in Pasadena, as well as the 13 films that followed.

The event will kick off with the Horror’s Hallowed Grounds Halloween Location Bus Tour, which will depart from the Pasadena Convention Center on Friday, Sept. 29 at 9 a.m. The tour will visit filming locations for the Halloween franchise, as well as other horror films like “The Fog,” “Return of the Living Dead Part 2,” “Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure,” and more.

The convention will continue on Saturday and Sunday with a lineup of celebrity guests from all 13 Halloween films, including directors, stars, and crew members.

Some of the confirmed guests are Nick Castle, who played Michael Myers in “Halloween,” Jamie Lee Curtis, who played Laurie Strode, Danielle Harris (Jamie Lloyd in “Halloween” 4 and 5), Tom Atkins (Dr. Dan Challis in “Halloween III”), and David Gordon Green, who directed “Halloween Kills” and “Halloween Ends.”

H45 will offer a variety of panels, Q&A sessions, screenings, autograph signings, photo ops, and contests for the attendees. The convention will also showcase original props and memorabilia from the films, as well as exclusive merchandise and collectibles.

Tickets for H45 are available online at https://huivent.com/Store/Event/54 or at the door. Prices range from $25 for a single day pass to $150 for a VIP package.
