Susan Lendroth presents and signs Here We Go Digging for Dinosaur Bones

Published on Feb 26, 2020

Southern California-based children’s author Susan Lendroth, who calls herself a “book lover who grew up to write my own,” presents and signs her newest book, “Here We Go Digging for Dinosaur Bones,” at Vroman’s Bookstore in Pasadena on Saturday, March 7, 10:30 a.m.

In the book, published by Charlesbridge Publishing, young paleontologists and dinosaur enthusiasts are invited on a fossil dig, set to the tune of “Here We Go ‘Round the Mulberry Bush.”

“Hike the trail, scan the ground, and make a find – then discover how to build a T. Rex from its bones,” says a description by the author. The book includes hand-play motions for sing-alongs, and “bite-size” science sidebars.

Susan Lendroth writes everything from essays to poetry, but mainly picture books for children. She is the author of “Natsumi!” and “Hey! Ho! To Mars We’ll Go,” as well as “Old Manhattan Has Some Farms,” “Calico Dorsey: Mail Dog of the Mining Camps,” “Maneki Neko, the Tale of the Beckoning Cat,” “Ocean Wide, Ocean Deep,” and “Why Explore?”

Saturday’s event is free to attend.
