Join All Saints Church in Pasadena on Sunday, December 13 for their annual Alternative Christmas Market (ACM), which for this year is going virtual.
This event brings together non-profit and fair trade organizations for an opportunity with the All Saints Church community to make donations and purchase gifts that are alternatives to the traditional Christmas present.
The ACM has been an Advent tradition for many years, bringing together non-profit and fair trade organizations in an event that has raised between $25,000 and $35,000 annually, and, more importantly, has raised social consciousness.
“The pandemic has changed our lives, but the Alternative Christmas Market provides us with the opportunity to capture the true meaning of Christmas, allowing each of us to truly impact those who are most in need,” Leah Nelson, ACM Co-Chair, said.
This year’s market will be virtual and will take place via Zoom on Sunday, from 10 to 11 a.m.
The list of annual participants include a Who’s Who of local, national and international organizations, such as Homeboy Industries, Five Acres, Get on the Bus, and Ten Thousand Villages, just to name a few. You will be able to “shop” directly with each organization during the virtual market by following links to their web pages.
