Altadena’s ‘Summer Concerts in the Park’ Line Up Announced

Published on May 10, 2022

The Rotary Club of Altadena is all set for the 25th Annual Summer Concerts in the Park series, which begins July 9 at the Farnsworth Park Amphitheater.

In the opening concert on July 9, Los Angeles-based quartet Cash Up Front will be dishing out up-tempo renditions of classic hits and lesser-known gems that Johnny Cash made popular during his award-winning career.

As in past Concerts in the Park, the Rotary Club is partnering with the Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation Department, County Supervisor Kathryn Barger, and other organizations and companies to bring you the Saturday night concert series.

Concert dates, after July 9, are July 16, 23 and 30; August 6, 13, 20 and 27; and September 10, the Rotary Club announced.

The full band line-up includes The Tribe Band One-Hit Wonders performing on July 16, and Mariachi Divas on July 23.

Two-time Golden Globe-nominated Aileen Quinn and the Leapin’ Lizards will be performing on July 30.

The bands in the August line-up are Motown R&B-influenced Blue Breeze Band on August 6, reggae, soca and Caribbean music band Upstream on August 13, ultimate 80s party band Past Action Heroes on August 20, and Eagles tribute Boys of Summer on August 27.

All these concerts are free, courtesy of the Altadena Rotary Club and other sponsors.

Farnsworth Park is at 568 E. Mt. Curve Ave. in Altadena.
