Join the American Cancer Society on Friday, Dec.18, for “Holiday Cheer,” a free virtual concert that will get the whole family in the holiday spirit.

Enjoy several holiday classics performed by a handful of artists, available to view on Facebook and Youtube.

“Holiday Cheer” is organized by Love Notes Around the World, a volunteer-driven initiative of the American Cancer Society led by Pasadena-based volunteer leader Vivian Chan.

Chan first developed and implemented Love Notes Around the World in 2012, leading a group of dedicated American Cancer Society volunteers to deliver cards to cancer patients undergoing treatment in San Gabriel Valley area hospitals.

Starting this year, Love Notes had to find more ways that people can connect to those affected by cancer or serving in the fight against cancer, and this “Holiday Cheer” concert is one of those ways.

“Love Notes Around the World is a highly engaging, creative, and interactive platform that will truly connect people around the world,” Chan said in a statement. “Cancer has not stopped, so neither will we.”

This free concert will feature hosts Beckie Baeling Lythgoe and Caitlin Carmichael, and more than a dozen performers.

A list of the performers includes Linda Krantz, the San Gabriel Mission Playhouse, Cybele, Tamyra Monica Gray, Nachum Peterseil, the East West Performing Arts Alliance Inc., Pilot Paisley Rose, James Bergman, Sarah Lonsert, Leo Lythgoe, Annie Li, Katharine Lee, and the San Marino High School Chamber Choir.

“Holiday Cheer” begins at 6 p.m.
