An Evening of Laughter and Rhythmic Delights: ‘SSL’ Takes Center Stage at Porticos Art Space, Experience the Perfect Fusion of Comedy and Melodies

Arroyo Repertory Theatre is set to host a one-night comedy event, “SSL,” featuring an entertaining lineup of comedians, storytellers, and musicians, at Porticos Art Space in Pasadena on Saturday, August 5, promising an evening of laughter and music.

Hosted by Katsy Chappell, the event aims to bring together a diverse array of stars from the worlds of comedy, storytelling, and music.

Among the featured performers are Bobby Collins, renowned for his appearances on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and author of the hilarious best-selling book, “On the Inside.”

“SSL” stands for “Show up, Sit Down, Laugh.”

The lineup also includes Greg Roque, known for his works on Comedy Central and Amazon Prime, and Kaycee Conlee, who has graced the screens of “On the Lot with Kaycee” and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Other notable participants include Laneia Dominguez, a digital creator and producer of Comedy for Causes, Lisa K. Wyatt, acclaimed for her role in “My Big Fat Blond Musical,” Stan Sellers from “A League of Their Own,” story artist Pat Willson, and the chamber group Clarinet S’mores.

William Fox, a Delta blues Americana guitarist, will also treat the audience to soulful melodies.

Taking place at the Porticos Art Space located at 2033 E. Washington Blvd., the show begins at 7:00 p.m. and will run for about two hours.

Tickets are available for $25 and can be purchased online through http://arroyorepertory.org/events. Part of the proceeds from the event will be directed towards Pasadena Humane.
