Pasadena Highlands, a luxury retirement community, is holding their ‘Everything Pumpkin” event and open house this Thursday, October 13th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“Thursdays are exceptional in our community,” said Christina Hollingsworth, regional sales director. “We always have a barbecue. So it’s a great way during an open house. Not only will we have appetizers and hors d’oeuvres and snacks for those touring, but they can also experience the courtyard area and barbecue, so they can get a little idea of how one of our events like that is, and be able to experience it.”
According to Hollingsworth, the retirement community offers independent living, with assisted living as well as memory care.
Pasadena Highlands also offers what they call, “A Moment in Time,” which is a transition floor for those who may have beginning stages of Alzheimer’s or a form of dementia, or possibly mild cognitive impairment .
Pasadena Highlands also features a culinary staff that creates a restaurant style menu with a dining hall that is open from 7 p.m. to 7 p.m, “much like a restaurant,” said Hollingsworth.
The first floor of the facility is set around a unique courtyard, which, says Hollingsworth, features “a wonderful walking trail for those who enjoy the outdoors, and its surrounded by very large magnolia trees.
There is also an outdoor courtyard dining area as well, she said.
Pasadena Highlands features a “robust calendar of activities” for various levels, said Hollingsworth, with full time onsite physical therapy on site.
Visitors to the Thursday Pumpkin event will also be able to visit model rooms as well as the dining room, the courtyard, and other activity rooms on the tour.
