Last Day, Bibliophiles! Rare Books LA Ends Sunday

Pasadena welcomes booksellers and bibliophiles from around the world to Rare Books LA, a three-day event at the Pasadena Convention Center Friday through Sunday, Feb. 4 to 6, where they can safely reconnect and share their love of books, fine prints, maps, ephemera, and more.

In addition, Rare Books LA celebrates the centenary of James Joyce’s ground-breaking novel “Ulysses.”

Visitors to the fair will have ample opportunity to explore the unique offerings of more than 100 rare book, fine print and map sellers offering thousands of items from across the globe.

On opening night Friday, tickets benefit The Huntington Library, Art Museum and Botanical Gardens in San Marino and entitle ticket holders to $10 off admission to world-famous library and gardens during the month of February.

Friday’s hours are 5 to 8 p.m. The Fair continues on Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

In accordance with state and local health orders, masks are required for everyone in indoor public settings and businesses regardless of vaccination status. Proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within one day for antigen tests and within two days for PCR tests is required prior to entry into the facility or venue. Identification is required for all attendees age 18 and above to validate vaccination record or proof of negative test.
