Whether you’re a young child interested in learning about tap dancing, or an adult who has been performing for decades, Theatre 360 has a tap class for you.

Starting on Monday, January 11, Theatre 360 will offer four different classes for tap dancing, from beginner classes all the way to adult classes.

For kids ages 9 and up, Kelsey O’Keefe, a Voice/Dance Instructor who grew up as a student at Theatre 360, will lead Beginning/Beginner Intermediate Tap, virtual-only classes from 5 to 6 p.m., where participants will be introduced to Tap Dancing, an exciting rhythmic dance form distinguished by percussive footwork that marks out precise rhythmic patterns on the floor. This long-time favorite style of dance has an esteemed Broadway reputation. In this tap class, students will learn and build on basic skills and fundamentals that increase rhythm, strength, and coordination.

Starting with a warm-up and combinations, students will learn exciting and fun choreography to develop their performance abilities. Dance attire and tap shoes are required.

For teens ages 11 and up, there’s an in-person class, Teen Tap, Mondays from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. Taught by Theatre360 Artistic Director Devon Yates, this class is designed to refine tap skills, while moving beyond the fundamentals of tap and also focus on faster and more intricate footwork. The dancer at this level will develop speed, clarity, dynamics, and the ability to execute complex rhythmic combinations. Tap shoes are required. Solid two years minimum of tap is required for this class.

And for adults ages 18 and up, Theatre360 offers Adult Tap, an in-person class Mondays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. This class is for basic to beginning level adult dancers and is a favorite among Theatre360 parents. Devon Yates teaches this class.

Tap is a great way to connect with rhythm, coordination, and performance. In each of these classes, students will learn new repertoire and choreography while listening to great music, get a good work out, and have a terrific time.

Tuition fees for these courses are $250 per student. Theatre360 offers pay plans where you can split payments into three. Just let them know if you need a pay plan when you sign up.

If you want a trial class, just pay for the first class and attend. Afterwards, you can decide whether you want to continue, then you just pay the balance on the class.

Classes are expected to be up to around March 20.
