Caltech Science Exchange,a program by Caltech that brings insight and expertise to critical topics in science and engineering, is hosting “Conversations on COVID-19: Finding Antibodies to Fight SARS-CoV-2” on Tuesday, February 23, starting at 11 a.m.

In this online event, Caltech researchers will speak about the progress of their work since early last year when the pandemic struck.

Caltech researchers at every level, from undergraduates to faculty members to JPL engineers, jumped into action immediately last year and have been working to advance everyone’s understanding of the virus and to accelerate progress toward solutions.

They’ve also been developing treatments to decrease fatality rates, creating diagnostics crucial to controlling the virus’s spread, and engineering models that policymakers rely on in public health decision-making.

Christopher O. Barnes, a Postdoctoral Scholar in Biology and Biological Engineering and a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Hanna Grays Fellow, will be in conversation with Lori Dajose, Content and Media Strategist at the Caltech’s Office of Strategic Communications.

You may ask your own questions in this series of conversations for the Caltech community.
