Cancer Support Community Pasadena’s Poker Bowl Returned Raising Over $42,000

Published on Jul 20, 2022

After a two-year pandemic hiatus, Cancer Support Community Pasadena’s (“CSCP”) Poker Bowl finally returned to the Flying A Garage last Friday with 120 people in attendance.  CSCP exceeded its goal, raising over $42,000 to support the organization’s free programs and services for families facing cancer.

“I’ve been waiting two years to work on this event with our amazing volunteer committee. It was so much fun to see the whole event finally come together through creativity, hard work, and a shared passion for our mission. Cancer Support Community is forever grateful to everyone involved in the success of this event – our chairs, committee, donors, community partners, and sponsors. Thank you for sharing your talents and resources so selflessly…so that no one faces cancer alone, said Kim Ferreira, Director of Events and Marketing.”

Honorary chairs, Aaron and Valerie Weiss, opened the Flying A Garage once again for this special event. Guests enjoyed the gorgeous selection of antique and classic cars surrounding them as they played Poker, Blackjack, and Craps late into the night.

The final table Texas Hold Em Tournament winners were: Wilson Yu (1st), Lucas Fiamengo (2nd), Michael Palffy (3rd), Danny Reaume (4th), Brad Talt (5th), Matthew Krappman (6th), Les Fujimoto (7th), Janet Webb (8th), and Don Hopf (9th).
