Dr. John Mulchaey, director of Carnegie Observatories, will make a down-to-earth presentation on Zoom titled “Gravitational Waves, Black Holes, Dark Matter and Other Puzzles” Wednesday, March 3, at 4 p.m., sponsored by the Pasadena Senior Center.
Gravitational waves and black holes are stunning evidence of the cataclysmic forces that have shaped our universe. The elusive concept known as dark matter constitutes 95 percent of the universe, but nobody knows what it is made of.
The cost is only $7 for members of the Pasadena Senior Center and $10 for nonmembers 50 and older. Residency in Pasadena is not required.
To register, visit www.pasadenaseniorcenter.org and click on Events, Clubs and Lectures, then Online Events or call 626-795-4331. Everyone who registers will receive an email link to access the Zoom event.
