With the Cookie Season officially open, cookie lovers throughout Pasadena can start supporting local Girl Scout entrepreneurs by ordering from the nearest Girl Scout Cookie Booth this month.

Every package of cookies purchased will “help provide invaluable opportunities for Girl Scouts to pursue, such as service projects, travel and summer camp,” a release by Girl Scouts said.

“Participating in the Girl Scout Cookie Program has long-lasting benefits,” Theresa Edy Kiene, Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles CEO, said. “This year especially, I know our cookiepreneurs are excited to be practicing their skills and thrilled to be back to more in-person connections with their customers.”

How to Purchase Girl Scout Cookies This Year

“In addition to online ordering, starting February 10, consumers can use the Cookie Finder to locate a booth near them and purchase cookies in-person from Girl Scouts.

Various Girl Scouts said their experience with the cookie program has been positive.

“I have learned to be brave and confident through the Cookie Program,” says Girl Scout Kayleah.

Sophia adds: “I’ve learned lots of social and business skills… you teach customers something about cookies they might not have known and you show them that you are motivated to reach your goal.”

“I use the five skills a lot – especially goal setting,” says Girl Scout Layla. “Every year, I set a higher personal goal for myself.”

The Girl Scouts has updated its Financial Literacy badges to offer entrepreneurial playbooks for every age level. As a Daisy, the first age level in Girl Scouting, a girl can win a Cookie Goal Setter badge, while high school girls can earn Entrepreneur Accelerator badges.

“In the Girl Scout Cookie Program, girls are taught financial literacy, planning, budgeting, teamwork, innovative thinking, and confident decision making,” the release added.
