The Caltech Glee & Chamber Singers will perform “Fall” Concerts on Saturday and Sunday November 19-20 in Ramo Auditorium on the Caltech campus.
There will be two concerts on Saturday, November 19th at 8 p.m. and on Sunday, November 20th at 3 p.m., both in Ramo Auditorium featuring the same program of music Palestrina, Bach, Handel, Mozart, Vaughan Williams, Dawson, and Kirchner.
Caltech Glee Club is a 50-voice mixed choir comprised of undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, postdocs, staff, alumni and JPL employees. Glee Club performs art music in a variety of musical styles and languages, from Medieval times to the 21st century. The choir performs for Institute events throughout the year and presents formal concerts at the ends of the fall and spring terms.
Caltech Chamber Singers is a smaller group selected by audition from the ranks of the Glee Club. Standard repertoire for this smaller group includes madrigals, chansons, motets, carols and part songs from the Renaissance through contemporary times.
