The Coffee Gallery Backstage in Altadena hosts The Linda Ronstadt Experience and The Mighty Cash Cats on Friday, Dec. 9, with the music starting at 8 p.m.
The Linda Ronstadt Experience features American Idol star Tristan McIntosh and is a popular touring tribute band showcasing the songs that Linda Ronstadt made famous. The show takes you on a musical journey of smash hit songs, including “You’re No Good,” “When Will I Be Loved,” “That’ll Be the Day,” and a particularly delicate, nuanced interpretation of “Blue Bayou,” among many more.
The Mighty Cash Cats, endorsed by the Cash family, has toured the U.S., including residencies in Las Vegas, Europe, Ireland, the UK, France and Israel. The band is led by Michael J. Smith and is one of the few Johnny Cash tributes with a female member, Leticia Blumette, who tears it up with that powerhouse room-filling voice. The band has also been featured on the German TV series, “RTL PunkT12. Their show covers all six decades of Johnny Cash’s music.
