The Pasadena Senior Center’s Master’s Series Winter Term presents “Exploring Modern and Contemporary Art,” an online series that continues on Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2 to 4 p.m. The series started last month.
“Exploring Modern and Contemporary Art” is a journey through some of the major stylistic movements of the modern period: Cubism, Surrealism, Modern Abstraction, Conceptual Art, and Performance, presented by Professor Thomas Folland, a Modern and Contemporary Art Historian with over 20 years teaching experience. Dr. Folland is currently an Associate Professor of Art History at Los Angeles Mission College.
This six-part lecture series will be organized thematically, surveying a diverse range of artists while overviewing some of the major preoccupations of the last 200 years.
The presentation will be on Zoom. Reservations are required. Pasadena Senior Center members pay $75 to register, non-members pay $90.
