Explore Pasadena’s Traditions with Virtual New Year’s Walking Tour

Published on Dec 28, 2020

Join Pasadena Walking Tours on Tuesday, December 29, at 5 p.m. for a special 90-minute New Year’s Walking Tour where participants will have the opportunity to go through stories and tales that capture the traditions of Pasadena.

Pasadena is best known worldwide as the home of the annual Rose Parade and Rose Bowl Game. There may be no actual Rose Parade in 2021 because of the pandemic, but this virtual New Year’s Walking Tour will let you walk the first leg of the Rose Parade route, as you learn more about the festivities and activities that captivates the city and its people on New Year’s Day.

Pasadena Walking Tours will also let you go through the stories and tales that capture the Rose Parade as a unique Pasadena tradition.

The virtual experience will require advanced ticket purchases, at $10 per adult and kids 13 and up. You can visit www.pasadenawalkingtours.com/new-year-s-in-pasadena-virtual to purchase your tour tickets. A link to the virtual tour will be sent to your email after purchase.

You may also opt for a private live walking tour or virtual experience. Please call Pasadena Walking Tours at (626)349-9651 or email info@pasadenawalkingtours.com

Pasadena Walking Tours was founded in 2017 to help both locals and visitors discover the treasures of Pasadena and its history, culture and architecture. In 2019, Pasadena Walking Tours founder Julia Long started a partnership with Downtown LA Walking Tours to increase the offering of tours within Southern California.

Long is a Pasadena native who’s a seasoned tour guide and loves learning about and exploring cities. She is a florist, writer, and researcher with a passion for photography and all things travel-related, and with a Master’s Degree in Art History.

While working at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) Museum, Long discovered a love for leading tours, and continues to share historical, architectural, fashion, and flower facts about Pasadena and other Southern California cities.
