Family Fridays: Movie Night at The Huntington Features ‘A Bug’s Life’

Published on Sep 9, 2021

Family Fridays: Movie Nights at The Huntington presents “A Bug’s Life,” the 1998 computer-animated comedy film produced by Pixar Animation Studios for Walt Disney Pictures, on Friday, September 10, starting at 8 p.m.

Family Fridays are family-friendly outdoor movie nights which also include live musical entertainment and a hands-on children’s activity.

“A Bug’s Life” involves a misfit ant, Flik, who is looking for “tough warriors” to save his colony from a protection racket run by Hopper’s gang of grasshoppers. Unfortunately, the “warriors” he brings back turn out to be an inept troupe of Circus Bugs.

Families can bring a picnic or purchase food and concessions from The Huntington’s Movie Night vendors. No outside alcohol is allowed.

Before you arrive, be aware that although all gardens are now open, some of The Huntington’s indoor areas remain closed. All visitors, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear masks indoors, except children under age 2. Outdoors, vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals may go without masks.

Visitors are required to check themselves for COVID symptoms before entering. If you begin to feel unwell during your visit, contact any of the staff by calling (626) 405-2250 and providing your location so you can be assisted.
