Edwin Mills by Equator, at 22 Mills Place in Pasadena, presents Dan Olivo and his Jazz Band on Saturday, Jan. 7, from 7 to 11 p.m.
As an actor and singer, Dan Olivo began his career performing in plays with his parents Rocco and Maria Olivo who in 1972 founded The Italian Theater of Arts in Los Angeles. He has worked as an actor in film, television, theater, radio and as a singer at various venues and private events all over Southern California, starring as Joe Gusto in the award winning comedy “The Deposition of Lou Bagetta” opposite Patrick Gallo, and playing the role of Leno LaBianca in Mary Harron’s latest film “Charlie Says.” Olivo has appeared with Christina Hendrix on NBC’s “Good Girls,” Zoey Deschanel on FOX’s “New Girl,” Justin Berfield on FOX’s “Malcolm in The Middle” and with Breaking Bad’s RJ Mitte in the independent feature “Who’s Driving Doug?”
Olivo and his jazz band perform regularly all over Southern California including residencies at The Drake in Laguna Beach, Le Grand DTLA, Chess Park Lounge and more.
