
When Pro Football Hall of Famer Ronnie Lott and USC legend Anthony Davis gather Monday morning at the Rose Bowl, they’ll be honoring the high school coaches and players who shaped California football from the ground up.
The Rose Bowl Quarterbacks Club’s High School Football Day brings together these gridiron icons to celebrate the California High School Football Hall of Fame while spotlighting in Pasadena’s local high school football programs.
Lott holds the rare distinction of membership in the California High School Football Hall of Fame, College Football Hall of Fame, and Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Davis, a California High School Football Hall of Fame and College Football Hall of Fame member, captured five national championships at USC in two sports.
Former Los Angeles Times humor columnist Chris Erskine will host the 90-minute celebration, which begins at 8:30 a.m. with breakfast and welcome remarks in the East Locker Room, followed by interviews at 9 a.m.
The event honors coaching legends like Tom Hamilton, who led Pasadena High School from 1960 to 1983, winning 16 league titles and three San Gabriel Valley Coach of the Year awards.
