Get Ready for a Ladies Week Out in Support of Breast Cancer Research

Published on Oct 24, 2020

Cancer Support Community Pasadena (CSCP) is hosting its annual Ladies Week Out, Monday through Saturday, October 26 to 31, with several activities on the program and prizes at stake, all to support breast cancer research.

This is a virtual event that’s taking place the entire week, so be sure to check out their schedule.

Ladies Week Out is CSCP’s 2020 spin on its annual Ladies Night Out, a highly anticipated event that’s celebrating its 10th anniversary. The festivities are in honor of the women in your lives who have been touched by cancer.

Ladies Week Out will also be full of opportunities to give back to the community, with an ever-growing list of local shops and restaurants holding special fundraising events and offering discounts to participants. To date, confirmed community partners include Salutations Home, Pearls, J. McLaughlin, Southern Roots, Place Vendome, LATHER, Shutters on the Beach, Merle Norman in Montrose, and Mason Grey.

Online sponsorship options will be available as well so people can support these local businesses and CSCP from the safety and comfort of their own homes. Participants can make the most of Ladies Week Out by purchasing a “Passport to Support” at www.cscpasadena.org/fundraisingevents and collecting stamps from vendors for the chance to win exclusive Ladies Week Out prizes.

Also, as part of Ladies Week Out, CSCP is launching its first ever virtual walk/run/ride. For just $25, participants can sign up to run, walk, or ride in support of CSCP at a time and place of their own choosing during the week. Participants are encouraged to post photos, videos and messages of support on social media.

Raffle tickets are available for purchase, with a staycation at the luxurious Shutters on the Beach as one of the prizes on offer. The week will close with an online Halloween Bingo celebration on the evening of October 31, with costumes highly encouraged; the first Bingo card is just $20.

CSCP is encouraging community members to consider participating in Ladies Week Out as a sponsor, partner, or donor. Your support is vital and helps fund the virtual programs CSCP offers those facing cancer during these isolating times.
