Pasadenans can spring forward with free coffee courtesy of Wescom Credit Union’s 9th Annual Daylight Saving Time Event. The tradition continues, and residents can enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee on Sunday, the day when clocks are moved forward an hour.

Pasadena in need of their java fix can stumble on into the Coffee at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf café at 415 South Lake Avenue.

“Daylight Saving Time can be a difficult transition for many people, and we want to do our part to help make it a little easier,” said Darren Williams, President and CEO of Wescom Credit Union. “Our annual event is just one way we give back to the communities we serve.”

Wescom will be providing $44,000 worth of beverages for the day beginning when doors open the morning of March 12 at each of the 22 designated Southern California The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® cafés.

The free beverages are available on a first-come, first-served basis until funds allocated to each café have been exhausted.

Customers who post a photo of themselves on social media with the hashtag #WescomKindness will also have a chance to win $500.* (For terms and conditions see Wescom website for details.)

Wescom Credit Union is hosting the event for the ninth year in a row. The credit union aims to give back to the community and provide a small pick-me-up for those who might lose an hour of sleep due to the time change.

The free coffee giveaway is available at participating locations throughout Southern California. Wescom Credit Union will distribute thousands of cups of coffee from several coffee partners, including Klatch Coffee and Two Guns Espresso.

Wescom Credit Union has been serving Southern California residents for over 85 years. The credit union offers a range of financial services, including savings and checking accounts, loans, and mortgages.
