Pasadena Walking Tours is conducting another in-person Haunted Pasadena tour on Friday, allowing participants to discover the sordid side of the City of Roses.

In this nighttime walk through the Playhouse Village and Old Pasadena, Pasadena Walking Tours will take visitors “through castles and courtyards, mortuaries and theatres, darkened alleyways and shuttered shopping malls,” and know more about the “unexplained mysteries and dirty dealings” that pepper Pasadena’s past, says a Pasadena Walking Tour announcement.

A listing on the Pasadena Walking Tours page shows one of the main features of the Haunted Pasadena tour include some story-telling about such mysteries as the building on Mills Alley once owned by a “Crazy Cazaurang,” the Pasadena Catacombs, Parsons Suicide Squad, the Don Juan dentist, and the Chinese Laundry Tragedy.

“Meet the phantoms who haunt (Pasadena’s) alleys, underground tunnels, corridors, and back rooms,” the announcement continued. “Parental guidance advised due to the nature of the stories told during the tour.”

Friday’s tour starts at 6:30 p.m. near the Performer Statue outside of The Stand at 36 S. El Molino Ave., and ends at Castle Green, 99 S. Raymond Ave., a distance of about 1.5 miles. The tour will take about two hours.

After Friday, Haunted Pasadena is also scheduled for Sept. 24 and Oct.1.

Tickets are $25 for kids 13 and up and adults, and $12 for ages 5 to 12. Toddlers ages 4 and under are free. To purchase tickets, visit www.pasadenawalkingtours.com/hauntedpasadena.

Pasadena Walking Tours returned to doing in-person tours in May after more than 15 months of virtual tours and online education sessions.
