Huntington Health Pioneer in San Gabriel Valley Offering Aquablation Therapy for BPH Patients

Published on Jun 20, 2023

In a first for the region, Huntington Health has started offering Aquablation therapy, a novel treatment for the urinary symptoms associated with Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH).

Huntington Health is the initial hospital in the San Gabriel Valley to provide this therapy.

BPH affects nearly 40 million men in the United States. With aging, men often experience an enlargement of the prostate gland, leading to significant urinary issues that can greatly impair quality of life.

Historically, surgical treatments for BPH presented a dilemma for patients, forcing them to decide between alleviating symptoms and potential irreversible surgical side effects.

Aquablation has emerged as a potentially preferable alternative.

This innovative method combines the power of water, robotic precision, and ultrasound imaging, offering a safe, effective, and minimally invasive solution to the age-old problem.

As an affiliate of Cedars-Sinai, Huntington Health is a key player in Compassionate Community Health initiatives, particularly those addressing Men’s Health. This development aligns with their commitment to adopting state-of-the-art techniques and therapies to improve patient care outcomes.

Aquablation therapy is unique as it is the first and only image-guided, heat-free robotic therapy specifically designed for BPH treatment.

More details about the Aquablation therapy and Huntington Health’s introduction of the service can be found on their official website, HuntingtonHealth.org.
