Jones Coffee Roasters, which has operated the coffee house in front of Vroman’s Bookstore since 2015, will be closing its doors this Sunday, January 23.
“We haven’t been able to recover enough after COVID, and our lease was up, and we decided to focus on our other stores,” said Jones Coffee Roaster CEO Chuck Jones Friday.
The popular company operates two other locations—at 1006 Mission Street in South Pasadena, and 693 South Raymond Avenue in Pasadena—and Jones said each of those stores will increase its staffing.
Asked about possible new tenants at the Vroman’s space, Jones said ‘I don’t know. It’s not our space. We were leasing the space from Vroman’s.”
Jones added, “We appreciate everything the Playhouse District has done for us, and we hope to return to that area in the future.”
